About the Role

The Senior Engineer- Data Services will lead the design, development, implementation, and support of scalable data solutions. This role provides technical direction for ETL development, data integration, and production support, ensuring all solutions are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of ETL jobs.
  • Provide technical direction for scalable data integration solutions.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into production-ready data service solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Talend jobs, reusable components, and job frameworks.
  • Lead SQL optimization and ETL performance tuning to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Manage data replication and synchronization between mainframe and distributed systems.
  • Coordinate deliverables, track dependencies, and resolve technical roadblocks.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and peer programming.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and support project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process standardization and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, and production data services.
  • Expertise with ETL tools such as Talend and TCVision.
  • Proven experience leading the design and implementation of scalable data integration solutions.
  • Extensive SQL development, data analysis, and performance optimization experience using PostgreSQL or similar databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
