About the Role

The Senior Property Manager is responsible for managing a team of Property Managers and an assigned region of the property management portfolio. This role works closely with the Operations team, Asset Management, Lease Administration, Accounts Receivable, Development, Finance and Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a team of property managers within an assigned region.
  • Liaise with landlords and franchisees on matters such as year-end reconciliations, property maintenance, lease interpretation, site disputes, and escalations.
  • Ensure the integrity of lease data, including monthly rent payments, budgeted CAM, taxes, year-end reconciliations, and other ad-hoc billings.
  • Reconcile accounts, year-end adjustments, SOAs, monthly rent, CAM, taxes, and property management escalations.
  • Assist in the delivery of property tax reviews, lease audits, and process improvement.
  • Prepare correspondence relating to rent adjustments, outstanding payments, CAM costs, and site issues.
  • Oversee the non-restaurant property portfolio and establish maintenance schedules and day-to-day management.
  • Manage bad debt and collection activities, as well as tenant arrears.
  • Report on and ensure all month-end and quarterly tasks are captured effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in property management, property accounting, revenue accounting, or lease administration.
  • Strong financial competencies and/or legal experience in retail/commercial real estate.
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both internal and external, with the capability to influence a wide range of audiences.
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage various competing priorities.
  • Ability to manage and work in teams, particularly cross-functional ones.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deal with uncertainty.
  • Nimble and a good problem solver, able to deal with problems where a precedent solution isn't readily available.
  • Ownership mentality.
  • Excellent communication and ability to drive a win-win situation for stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Advanced Project Management Skills.
