About the Role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a Senior Events Coordinator to join their Marketing Team in New York City. This role is crucial for planning and executing client-facing and internal events, supporting specific practice groups, and upholding high standards of client service. The position requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong writing, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute all aspects of client-facing and internal events for IP/Tech, Life Sciences, Digital Infrastructure/Data Centers, and Data Privacy groups.
- Support the firmwide events team and collaborate with the global marketing and business development team.
- Assist attorneys with event-related requests.
- Support the deployment of firm-hosted/sponsored programs and events, including webinars and seminars.
- Assist in the development and production of marketing materials for events.
- Manage on-site logistics for events.
- Staff and support client events.
- Collaborate with the creative services team to create and submit ads for charitable events.
- Assist with social media images and drafting social media blurbs.
- Draft event write-ups for internal and external use.
- Assist in distributing marketing materials, including name tags, signage, and promotional items.
- Support marketing initiatives for local practice areas, including client initiatives, team building, and client social functions.
- Assist with event database management and other administrative tasks.
- Support regional marketing initiatives such as shareholder practice meetings and cross-marketing meetings.
- Provide excellent client service to internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with marketing and business professionals across the firm.
- Work on other projects as assigned.
- Be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience.
- Legal or professional services marketing experience highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and the importance of data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) and incorporate them responsibly into workflows.
- Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies.
- Self-starter and team player, able to accept direction yet work independently.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong client-first work ethic.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients.
