About the Role
This hybrid position involves operational responsibilities for both ticketed events such as concerts and shows, as well as special events, both private and corporate.
Responsibilities
- Manage aspects of facility operations and maintenance, including front of house operations, preventive maintenance, third-party contracting, staffing, and venue set-up and tear-down.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise part-time staff/supervisors across departments like Security, Maintenance, Cleaning, and Usher/Ticket Taker.
- Maintain and monitor records of all incident reports and investigate/manage all pending cases, including interviewing staff or witnesses and attending arbitration hearings.
- Ensure optimum operating condition of all facility equipment, such as traffic control and crowd control devices.
- Implement and execute all Live Nation policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring company standards are maintained.
- Create and implement effective recruiting programs for seasonal event staff.
- Manage event staff new hire onboarding and training for in-sourced positions and ensure proper onboarding.
- Manage all training programs and ongoing development of event staff.
- Commit to providing a safe and enjoyable facility for guests and employees.
- Coordinate and manage approved subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and successful events.
- Oversee and ensure the execution of all operating department compliance policies and procedures.
- Execute, service, and detail assigned events once booked by the Special Events Department.
- Provide administrative support and assistance to the Special Events Sales Team.
- Distribute all internal and external correspondence.
- Assist department team members with Information Systems support.
- Coordinate all aspects of operational set-up and break down of events (equipment needs, rental needs, and station set-up).
- Act as a liaison between client and LN Team Members throughout the event.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific venue standard).
- Assist in all aspects of the Special Event once the special event order (SEO) has been distributed.
- Assist in conducting site inspections and walk-throughs with clients as requested by DOS.
- Assist Sales Manager(s) as requested with special needs by the client.
- Participate in meetings such as the SEO Meeting and Production Meeting.
- Work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the venue.
- Maintain files in proper order after the (SEO) has been distributed.
Requirements
- Proven leader with strong management and communications skills.
- Extensive knowledge of venue operations and facility management is required.
- Experience dealing with police and public officials.
- Demonstrated experience managing staff, ideally experience managing Security, Ticket Takers, and Ushers.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Experience using Workday or timekeeping systems is a plus.
