About the Role

JD Sports is seeking a Store Manager for our Dufferin Mall location. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat attitude and a passion for sporting apparel and footwear. This role is responsible for driving sales, maintaining visual standards, and coaching a team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Motivate sales team to exceed sales targets on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Improve in-store strategies while maintaining company standards.
• Develop a community culture through strong customer rapport and exceptional customer service.
• Set weekly schedules and delegate tasks daily.
• Increase store sales through effective inventory management, merchandising, and seeking growth opportunities.
• Manage end-to-end daily e-commerce sales, including processing, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
• Decrease store shrinkage by researching inventory discrepancies and solving problems.
• Manage weekly bank deposits and store expenses.
• Build a talent pipeline to develop top talent into leaders.
• Stay up-to-date with new product releases and ensure the team is informed.
• Collaborate with the HR team to fill store positions.
• Train new or promoted staff on their roles and responsibilities.
• Submit biweekly payroll for the store team.
• Ensure visual presentation meets the standards set by the Merchandise team.
• Host local events and initiatives while meeting company standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of retail management experience.
• Strong background in leadership and team building.
• Comfortable and confident in making business-critical decisions.
• Must be a fashion, sportswear, or footwear enthusiast.
• Must be able to multitask and manage time independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in data analysis and building Excel reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and goal-oriented individual.
• Strong proficiency in iOS-based programs and products.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other MS Office programs.
