About the Role
This role will provide the strategic technology vision, technical leadership, innovation, and growth for the Public Sector & Defence (PS&D) Industry in the UK&I, spanning the full solution lifecycle from pre-sales to service operations. It will be critical in delivering the Industry growth target.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic technical leadership across the PS&D Industry, working closely with internal teams, clients, partners, and vendors.
- Develop PS&D Industry specific technology strategies and roadmaps.
- Create a compelling future position for the Industry, considering policy, change steps, outcomes, and investment.
- Drive industry growth by supporting sales and business development teams with market analysis and client workshops.
- Collaborate with Business Lines to develop Industry specific solutions, reusing existing assets.
- Act as formal sign-off/red reviewer for Industry specific deals, ensuring solutions meet business and technical excellence standards.
- Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders up to C-level, understanding their business and identifying growth opportunities.
- Drive innovation by staying aware of technology trends and introducing fresh ideas through various sessions.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the Account CTO(s) and Lead Architect community within the Industry.
- Contribute to the broader technical community, sharing knowledge and mentoring junior staff.
- Demonstrate Thought Leadership by attending industry events, representing Atos, and publishing articles.
- Collaborate with Partners, Suppliers, and SMEs on growth and innovation.
Requirements
- Must hold or be able to obtain UK SC clearance.
- Recent experience (within one year) with one or more clients within the Public Sector & Defence Industry.
- Proven leadership in enterprise architecture and technology strategy, ideally across existing and growth clients within the Industry.
- Proficiency across all Business Lines with expertise in at least two of the following: Data & AI, Cloud and Modern Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Digital Workplace, Digital Applications and Smart Platforms.
- Demonstrable ability to influence senior client and internal stakeholders (CxOs, Industry Heads, Business Line leaders).
- Commercial awareness and financial acumen, including budget management, utilisation, and aligning technology solutions with business value.
- Demonstrable experience in end-to-end client account delivery, including sales, new business, project delivery, service delivery, innovation, road mapping, and stakeholder management.
