About the Role

The Controls Systems EIT/Coordinator position involves engineering tasks of varying complexity, assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager. The EIT may work independently on small tasks or assist senior engineers on larger projects. Typical design work includes power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis, and grounding. Projects span power, industrial, and institutional facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Check manufacturer's drawings and perform engineering calculations.
  • Work on design layouts, verifying code compliance, quality checks, and meeting project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines as required.
  • Supervise designers and CAD operators depending on project size.
  • Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work among other disciplines.
  • Must have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Must display attention to accuracy and be detail-oriented.
  • Familiarity with Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
  • Professional work experience with Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Experience Level

  • Candidates hired without their EIT will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
