About the Role

The MRI Technologist performs a variety of standard and specialty Magnetic Resonance (MR) procedures to produce imaging studies using radiology technology to assist physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Specifically, conducts radiology exams and documents clinically appropriate results for interpretive physicians and records.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of standard and specialty Magnetic Resonance (MR) procedures.
• Produces imaging studies using radiology technology.
• Assists physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis.
• Complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts radiology exams and documents clinically appropriate results for interpretive physicians and records.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved training program for MRI
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Magnetic Resonance
• 1+ years of MRI experience
• Applicable State Licensure, where required
• IV credentialed if applicable
• BLS certification preferred
• Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, and walk without restrictions.
• Requires computer-related activities for extended periods of time
• Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write and key

Work Type

• 5/8's, 40 hour work week
• Rotating Saturdays and early evenings

Experience Level

• 1+ years of MRI experience

Education Level

• Graduate of an AMA-approved training program for MRI
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Magnetic Resonance
• Applicable State Licensure
• IV credentialed
• BLS certification

Salary/Compensations

• Competitive hourly rate
• Up to a $5,000 incentive for experienced MRI Techs
