About the Role
As a member of the Asset Management Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate stewardship of client’s fee-based assets and the overall goal of increasing fee-based assets and revenues at Raymond James Ltd.
Responsibilities
- Monitor e-mail for incoming trade instructions from 3rd party managers on the SMA program as well as internal Raymond James portfolio managers.
- Update models and generate trades for market execution while coordinating with the trading desk on larger orders.
- Query for daily asset movement on the SMA program and amalgamate bulk trading lists for market execution.
- Calculate foreign exchange exposure and arrange for rates on all cross-currency transactions.
- Identify and rebalance accounts with excess cash on a quarterly basis.
- Perform quality control checks on trades.
- Download and distribute weekly/monthly reports.
- Assist with various projects and initiatives related to fee-based accounts.
- Assist with a variety of other duties related to all fee-based platforms.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or degree.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience trading in discretionary accounts using a model-based approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) with a willingness and ability to learn new applications.
- Familiarity with Dataphile, Croesus, or similar service provider is an asset.
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
- Work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail.
- Demonstrate email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills.
