About the Role
The Talent Specialist will play a key role in delivering a broad range of talent management programs and services across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, internal mobility, and employee engagement to support the AGO's strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment and selection for diverse roles including specialized, high-volume, and international positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, source candidates, and facilitate interviews.
- Coordinate and deliver onboarding and orientation programs.
- Support employee engagement initiatives to foster an inclusive and high-performing culture.
- Contribute to performance management, employee feedback, and talent development programs.
- Assist with workforce and succession planning.
- Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives.
- Develop and deliver learning and development programs and training resources.
- Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems and HR databases.
- Provide guidance on employment legislation, collective agreements, and HR policies.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement of talent programs and processes.
- Handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
Requirements
- 2+ years of recruitment and selection experience.
- 2+ years of talent management experience covering the full employee lifecycle.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and collective agreement administration.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
