About the Role
The Parking Guest Ambassador plays a vital role in delivering a smooth, efficient, and welcoming arrival experience for guests. This position is responsible for managing parking operations, ensuring safe traffic flow, maximizing parking capacity, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Direct incoming and outgoing traffic to available parking spaces using clear hand signals and verbal communication
- Monitor parking areas to ensure efficient space utilization and prevent congestion
- Enforce parking policies, including time limits and restricted zones
- Assist guests with questions regarding parking availability, directions, and procedures
- Resolve parking-related issues such as lost tickets or vehicle lockouts
- Communicate regularly with team members to maintain efficient operations
- Operate parking equipment including gates, ticket dispensers, and payment systems
- Track and report parking activity, including occupancy, revenue, and incidents
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parking facility
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Handle high-volume phone calls and radio communications
- Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Pass a background check and drug screening
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in dispatching, customer service or a related field
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, and direct traffic for extended periods
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, guest-focused approach
- Ability to maintain professionalism with diverse individuals
- Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts calmly and efficiently
- Ability to read and interpret maps and directions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
