About the Role

SLEEGERS is recruiting for a future vacancy an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Brake Press Operator to join our Production Team. This role requires hands-on experience operating brake press or bending equipment, ideally within a manufacturing environment producing HVAC or metal components. Candidates with laser cutting knowledge and/or HVAC fabrication experience will be strongly preferred, as this role supports precision metal forming and fabrication understanding in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC hydraulic or electric brake press equipment to produce precision metal components
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to meet product specifications
  • Set up machines and input accurate CNC programming data
  • Review plans and specifications for errors prior to production
  • Maintain strict quality control by inspecting parts at the beginning and end of each run
  • Document materials and production data to support process control
  • Ensure all equipment is inspected for safe and proper working conditions
  • Perform minor preventive maintenance and adjustments as required
  • Fabricate components with tight tolerances, including nonstandard or complex shapes

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating a CNC brake press (hydraulic or electric)
  • Experience in HVAC manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication an asset
  • Laser cutting experience or familiarity with laser operations and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and productivity standards in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
  • High attention to detail with the ability to maintain tight tolerances
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Able to ensure work orders and paperwork requirements are followed and maintained
