About the Role
CACI Ltd is seeking a database analyst to review, manage, and publish weekly and monthly data cycles. This role is critical in ensuring UK retail finance providers receive prompt, consistent, and accurate data for informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage the collection, processing, and publication of client input data files in a timely manner.
- Regularly verify the quality of client data to ensure accuracy, highlighting irregularities, analyzing trends, and seeking context behind data observations.
- Interrogate and support both the terabyte-scale SQL Server back-end and the Tableau/Liferay front-end.
- Guarantee client confidentiality is always protected.
- Ensure the wider team has visibility during data collection, processing, and publication stages by updating processing logs and communicating via Microsoft Teams.
- Work closely with clients via phone and email to resolve data issues, escalate service publication delays, and improve data delivery standards.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders on projects to enhance data checking processes and improve accuracy.
Requirements
- Analytically and numerically minded with attention to detail to spot anomalies and patterns in data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding root causes and solutions.
- Team player who enjoys a collaborative environment.
- Highly personable with the ability to develop strong working relationships with clients.
- Retail Finance experience is preferable but not essential.
- Experience in writing and understanding SQL queries for data analysis, import, and processing (SQL Server T-SQL experience preferred but not essential).
- Well-developed skills with Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlikview or Power BI is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous exposure to relational databases, data warehouse architecture, and standard design concepts is a bonus.
- Desire to learn Python is not essential.
- Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
