About the Role
This entry-level sales position supports the DIY business by achieving sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, automotive parts, and inventory maintenance processes to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal and store sales goals
- Perform DIY services including battery testing and installation, and wiper installation
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Manage inventory processes including truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
Requirements
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use delivery board systems
- Ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment
- Ability to operate POS and parts lookup systems
- Proficiency in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services
- Speak and write English (Spanish is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and parts catalogs
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
