About the Role
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for the Pre-Operative Assessment team. This role involves assisting in the telephone triage of patients and performing necessary pre-operative tests under the supervision of the nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients under the direction and supervision of trained nursing staff.
- Develop competence in patient hygiene, nutritional requirements, patient observations, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and performing Blood Gas tests.
- Utilize computer systems (EPIC and Windows) to access and update patient records.
- Assist clinical caregivers in transporting patients using methods such as trolleys and beds.
- Rotate between areas as directed by the nurse manager.
Requirements
- Experience working in a pre-op setting.
- Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Care & Social Care.
- BLS provider course completed and qualification required upon hire or within 3 months of hire.
- Track record of achievement of objectives in clinical field roles.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
