About the Role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for the Pre-Operative Assessment team. This role involves assisting in the telephone triage of patients and performing necessary pre-operative tests under the supervision of the nursing team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic nursing care to patients under the direction and supervision of trained nursing staff.
  • Develop competence in patient hygiene, nutritional requirements, patient observations, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and performing Blood Gas tests.
  • Utilize computer systems (EPIC and Windows) to access and update patient records.
  • Assist clinical caregivers in transporting patients using methods such as trolleys and beds.
  • Rotate between areas as directed by the nurse manager.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a pre-op setting.
  • Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Care & Social Care.
  • BLS provider course completed and qualification required upon hire or within 3 months of hire.
  • Track record of achievement of objectives in clinical field roles.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
