About the Role

Support the development of high-quality, innovative, and fully functional software by participating in the full software development life cycle (SDLC)—from gathering requirements and writing code to testing and deployment. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and managers, and your assignments will be supervised to ensure alignment with project goals and standards. This role is for our Projects and Automation Solutions business where we integrate metrology equipment and software into our customers factory and manufacturing cells. You will be working with a global team and contributing to global standard software packages, creating custom HMIs for measurement systems, robot loading systems, and custom integration into factory SCADA systems using PLC communication protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather and understand software requirements
  • Design and write clean, efficient, and scalable code in various programming languages
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests
  • Assist in writing testing requirements and documentation
  • Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues
  • Support deployment and maintenance of software solutions
  • Adhere to coding standards and participate in code reviews

Requirements

  • BS/BA or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Academic or hands-on background in object-oriented programming (Specifically C#, and Python)
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Basic understanding of software testing and debugging practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow technical guidance
