About the Role

We are seeking an Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach to deliver and develop our AWFC physical curriculum and lead athletic development across the Academy on a casual basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Academy strength and conditioning programmes by delivering the long-term athletic development model.
  • Oversee age-specific and comprehensive fitness profiling in accordance with FA requirements.
  • Create and implement individual development plans for players with regular progress reviews.
  • Attend and contribute to player reviews and provide reports to key stakeholders.
  • Improve athletic performance in the Women's Academy to align with Women's First Team requirements.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize squad performance throughout the season.

Requirements

  • Track record of providing strength and conditioning services within elite sport.
  • Degree level qualification in Sports Science or Strength and Conditioning.
  • Strength and Conditioning qualification such as UKSCA, NCSA, or CSCS.
  • FA Level 2 or UEFA-C Coaching qualification.
  • Accreditation with the British Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).
  • In-depth understanding of the FA Girls' Talent Pathway and WSL Academy structure.
  • Ability to work weekends and flexibility with scheduling.
  • Ability to travel independently.
  • Successful completion of a DBS check.
