About the Role

Mastercard's US Digital Partnerships Fintech team seeks a Director, Account Management to cultivate strategic partnerships and manage relationships within the fintech ecosystem. This role involves working with major tech, e-commerce, and financial services companies to leverage Mastercard's capabilities, create new product propositions, and ensure seamless, secure, and inclusive payments.

Responsibilities

  • Devise strategies to work more effectively with payments ecosystem enablers.
  • Own and manage a portfolio of strategic fintech partners, ensuring revenue growth, pipeline development, and long-term success.
  • Identify client/partner needs and oversee the delivery of value-added solutions.
  • Analyze financial, payment, and market data to generate client-specific insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and customers to establish and execute annual business planning and quarterly review sessions.
  • Act as the expert on assigned clients’ capabilities, providing strategic insights.
  • Engage with senior executives across partner organizations to shape partner strategy and commercial agreements.
  • Negotiate complex partnership agreements, including new products and pricing constructs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, legal, pricing, and network teams to structure and deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the payments marketplace and market research.
  • A blend of analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to dive deep on all areas of the business to deliver creative solutions to unstructured problems.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing complex B2B partnerships.
  • Extensive experience managing complex B2B partnerships in fintech or payments.
