About the Role
ICE is transforming its finance function by bringing accounting services in-house and migrating to the NetSuite ERP system. This role will be instrumental in this transition, focusing on financial accounting, bookkeeping, and ERP implementation.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, expense reports, bank transactions, and account reconciliations.
- Create and process customer invoices, manage payment processing, and handle dunning procedures.
- Post and reconcile payroll entries.
- Determine and execute closing entries, including prepaid expenses, accruals, and depreciation.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Actively participate in bookkeeping during the transition to internal processes.
- Collaborate with external accounting service providers during process transition and parallel bookkeeping in NetSuite (Oct – Dec 2026).
- Participate in NetSuite ERP configuration testing, focusing on accounting workflows.
- Prepare and collaborate on the 2026 fiscal year audit.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
- Perform parallel processing of bookkeeping in NetSuite and SAP during the transition phase.
- Actively manage internal bookkeeping post Go-Live.
- Fully participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Provide potential support to the Controlling team.
- Learn aspects of Controlling activities for vacation replacement.
- Engage in financial analysis and reporting.
- Undertake variance analysis, performance reporting, and ad-hoc analytics.
Requirements
- Professional qualification and experience as a Financial Accountant under German GAAP (HGB).
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
- Interest in continuous professional development.
- Experience with process automation or optimization.
- Basic understanding of Controlling processes.
- Experience with ERP implementation projects.
- Additional language skills (e.g., Swedish) are a bonus.
- Passion for working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
