About the Role

Temporary Program Officer-Child survival will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of Health and Nutrition activities under the Damal Caafimaad project in Galmudug. This role includes direct planning and coordination of all sector activities related to Nutrition, Health, and WASH. The Program Officer will work closely with relevant line ministries to ensure effective coordination, information sharing, smooth implementation, and delivery of high-quality services. He/ She will provide regular progress reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to the line manager.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day implementation of Health and Nutrition activities under the Damal Caafimaad project in Galmudug.
Direct planning and coordination of all sector activities related to Nutrition, Health, and WASH.
Work closely with relevant line ministries to ensure effective coordination, information sharing, smooth implementation, and delivery of high-quality services.
Provide regular progress reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to the line manager.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Experience with an international NGO/UN/ Local NGO & Government in implementing and coordinating humanitarian/development program activities including, health, nutrition and WASH.
Basic knowledge of project planning, implementation, and monitoring.
Good understanding in local language and culture practises.
Basic understanding of child right frameworks.
Must be a Somali National.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills.
Experience in community mobilization/CMAM/IYCF/EPI/IMCI/BeMONC//GBV/PHAST/CHAST/CLTS.
