About the Role
Lead internal AI, data science, and data engineering capabilities for Corpay's Europe & Rest of World fleet business unit. This senior leadership role focuses on leveraging AI and data to drive business outcomes such as growth, customer retention, and operational optimization.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI & Data Strategy: Define and execute a clear AI and data strategy aligned to business priorities, focusing on revenue growth, customer retention, operational efficiency, and productivity.
- Identify, prioritize, and build a portfolio of high-impact AI and data initiatives.
- Deliver Business Impact: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI initiatives from ideation to measurable results, ensuring solutions are embedded into business processes.
- Build & Scale Data Platforms: Oversee data science, machine learning, and data engineering teams to build scalable and high-quality data and AI platforms.
- Drive best practices in data architecture, model development, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Partner Across the Business: Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Credit, Marketing, and Technology teams to translate business needs into data and AI solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical teams and commercial leaders.
- Drive AI Adoption & Capability: Champion the use of AI across the organization, promoting practical use of AI tools and solutions.
- Support training, upskilling, and knowledge sharing to build a data-driven culture.
- Lead & Inspire a High-Performing Team: Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, and analysts.
- Build a strong, collaborative, and innovative team culture focused on delivery and impact.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading AI, data science, machine learning, or data platform teams.
- Track record of delivering data and AI initiatives with clear business impact.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics, and ML/AI technologies.
- Experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to link AI initiatives to business value.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Ability to operate strategically while staying close to execution.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.
- Pragmatic and delivery-focused, with a bias for action.
- Curious, innovative, and comfortable challenging the status quo.
- Strong communicator, able to translate complex topics into clear business language.
