About the Role
The team's responsibilities span data integration supporting customers and internal business areas, and AI platform development. We are looking for a passionate technologist dedicated to solving real-world business problems to lead the excellence of our Data/AI engineering practice.
Responsibilities
- Partner with technologists across the business to collaboratively solve problems.
- Demonstrate active mentorship and rising talent identification.
- Develop a north star vision for the domain in which they are focused.
- Demonstrate positive impact and leadership across the scope of the organization.
- Serve as a specialist in architecting design solution patterns for any use case.
- Consider business needs and application needs, articulating them to interested teams and partners.
- Demonstrate mastery of software design and shape coding methodologies that are scalable, resilient, and stable.
- Possess a deep knowledge of the entire system and can jump into code in any component to fire fight and contribute.
- Apply professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Lead collaboration with key partners and contribute subject matter expertise to develop unique solutions to complex issues.
Requirements
- Development background.
- Infrastructure (AWS) knowledge.
- Data awareness.
- 4+ years of experience for Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience for Master's degree.
- Proven experience in data modeling, schema design patterns, and modern data access patterns (including API, streaming, data lake) and AWS.
- Demonstrate familiarity with various cloud technologies and building data products to support batch and real-time DS, AI/ML, and Deep learning applications.
- Independently design, communicate, and execute architecture for moderately sophisticated data products.
- Strong understanding of testing and monitoring tools and technologies.
- Guide others in the design of software that is easily testable and observable.
- Influence and contribute to product vision for the team.
- Proficiency in platform development using Python and/or Java.
- Some experience with Sagemaker or equivalent, feature store, dashboards, and so on.
- Some basics around LLM, guardrails, observability, RAG, Agentic.
