  • Provide clear and practical legal input to internal stakeholders.
  • Build positive working relationships with teams like Sales, Delivery, and InfoSec.
  • Help identify and communicate key legal and commercial risks, escalating issues appropriately.
  • Support the team in maintaining consistency with standard contractual positions.
  • Assist with data protection queries and contract compliance matters.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of templates, playbooks, and legal processes.
  • Support legal operations initiatives, including contract lifecycle management and automation tools.
  • Work closely with other solicitors and paralegals, sharing knowledge and learning from more senior colleagues.
  • Participate in training sessions and internal knowledge-sharing activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1-2 years’ PQE.
  • Ideally 1 year’s in-house experience.
  • Good understanding of contract law, including rules relating to contract formation, direct vs indirect damages, warranties, and indemnities.
  • Strong drafting skills, including experience of amending contractual clauses.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of UK GDPR and general data protection principles.
  • Exposure to intellectual property issues.
  • Clear and confident communication style.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with team support.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in a technology, data, or consulting environment is desirable.
  • Experience using AI tools for legal research and contract analysis is desirable.
