About the Role

This position will drive the implementation of urban infrastructure for proof-of-concept testing in Toyota Woven City, encompassing strategic planning, service design, and execution. The role involves envisioning innovation and solution roadmaps to address societal challenges at the city level, requiring imaginative yet logical proposals for test course infrastructure. You will understand partner verification objectives and business requirements, propose IT environments and system architectures, and translate these into development specifications, acting as a bridge between corporate partners and the development team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and propose required IT environments and urban infrastructure solutions and system architectures based on proof-of-concept objectives, business requirements, and Woven City strategy.
  • Define system requirements, create specifications, and design architecture, providing clear input to the development team.
  • Plan and propose continuous operational improvements and updates for deployed equipment and system platforms.
  • Manage progress with development teams and engineers, identify issues, and adjust requirements.
  • Manage projects to ensure delivery within budget and on schedule, including schedule, risk, and quality management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in planning and implementing IT solutions.
  • Experience translating business requirements into a concrete technical roadmap.
  • Strong communication skills to structure complex technical requirements and explain them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Logical thinking skills to lead technical decision-making.
  • Strong logical thinking, with the ability to identify issues and solve problems.
  • A proactive attitude toward identifying issues and driving improvement proposals through to execution.
  • Japanese language skills sufficient to clearly communicate technical and business topics.
  • English proficiency at a conversational level and a strong willingness to further improve English skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
