About the Role
Seeking a skilled Solution Architect to provide technical expertise in the sales cycle, conduct POCs, and design CNAPP solutions for enterprise clients in Australia & New Zealand. This role is crucial for securing cloud infrastructure and enabling business innovation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource for the ANZ sales team, engaging with prospects and customers to understand their cloud security needs.
- Design and present tailored Upwind Security CNAPP solutions, aligning product capabilities with customer security frameworks.
- Lead and execute technical validation activities, including POCs, pilots, and demonstrations.
- Develop comprehensive solution architectures and technical proposals integrating Upwind Security into existing cloud and CI/CD environments.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the Upwind CNAPP platform, competitive landscape, and cloud-native security trends.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, educating customers and partners on cloud security best practices and DevSecOps.
- Provide feedback to product management and engineering on regional technical requirements and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop account strategies and qualify opportunities.
- Assist in the technical enablement and training of channel partners.
- Create and refine technical sales collateral tailored for the ANZ audience.
Requirements
- 10+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Consultant) selling or supporting cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or DevSecOps solutions.
- Deep, hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their security services.
- Strong understanding of cloud architectural best practices.
- Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless technologies.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
- Proven knowledge of application security principles and cloud security frameworks.
- Understanding of CNAPP components (e.g., infrastructure-as-code scanning, vulnerability management, runtime protection).
- Familiarity with the ANZ enterprise IT and security landscape, including key industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
