About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Designer to create solutions for all design-related problems by generating better alternatives. You will be the primary design interface with clients, attending meetings, supervising presentations, and conveying design concepts. As an expert, you will lead design critiques, mentor other designers, and coordinate with suppliers on new materials and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce CAD and BIM drawing packages for design reviews, tender processes, and execution.
• Produce sketch plans, concept designs, space planning, and design documentation.
• Monitor design intent progression on site.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Supervise the production of finished boards for client presentations.
• Render plans and elevations to convey design concepts to clients.
• Ensure the highest quality of professional services delivered.
• Lead design critiques and represent the company at design forums.
• Guide, advise, mentor, and coordinate other designers and professionals.
• Meet suppliers and educate the design team on new materials, brands, and special treatments.
• Select, schedule, and conceptualize FF&E, color, and materials for client presentations and space planning.
• Review drawings, mock-ups, material, and finished samples submitted by project contractors.
• Take on additional responsibilities aligned with business and organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design.
• At least 5 years of experience in workplace projects.
• Proven project experience and ability to deliver medium to large-scale workplace projects.
• Experience in design documentation, technical drawing, and interior package documentation for workplace fit-outs, including joinery documentation.
• Client-facing experience is preferred.
• Strong planning abilities.
• Ability to develop design concepts.
• Knowledge of furniture and finishes.
• Knowledge of planning codes.
• Clear understanding of budgets.
• Effective judgment skills within constrained time scales and resources.
• High communication skills, preferably in English.
• Flair for dealing with clients and making design presentations.
• Ability to interact and work with all levels of staff in other disciplines.
