About the Role
ATU is Germany's largest workshop chain, founded in 1985 with over 500 branches and approximately 9,000 employees. This role involves working on a variety of vehicles, performing diagnostic, maintenance, and repair tasks, and preparing vehicles for HU/AU inspections.
Responsibilities
- Work on vehicles with Otto and diesel engines, as well as electric and hybrid vehicles, servicing models of all makes and years.
- Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work reliably and prepare vehicles professionally for HU/AU.
- Carry out service and maintenance work on air conditioning systems, airbag and safety systems, and high-voltage systems as needed.
- Benefit from varied tasks and continuously develop expertise, especially in modern vehicle technologies.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training (domestic or international) such as a journeyman/skilled worker certificate as a vehicle or commercial vehicle mechatronics technician, mechanic, vehicle technician, automotive electrician, automotive mechanic, automotive service mechanic, or in a related technical field.
- Seeking a career stepping stone to become a master automotive technician – we offer the prospect of subsidized further training or direct entry.
- Driving license (Class B) in Germany is desirable.
- Proactive, physically fit, and willing to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours daily).
- For applicants from non-EU countries, a valid work and residence permit for Germany is required.
