About the Role

This role is responsible for managing and improving the customer's security governance, risk management, and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to Defence security regulatory requirements, developing security policies, conducting risk assessments, and implementing controls to protect digital assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and frameworks as per regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular security audits.
• Identify cyber security risks and implement security controls.
• Vulnerability Management and Threat Detection.
• Security Event log monitoring.
• Develop and maintain Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization (Accreditation) documentation suite.
• Assess security control effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security / information technology OR related experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in Cyber security risk management / policy development/ governance.
• Strong knowledge of security audit, documentation development, vulnerability management and security event monitoring.
• Already hold and ability to maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance – must be an Australian Citizen!
• Ability to work at HMAS Watson, in Watson’s Bay – onsite, full time.
