About the Role
Join the Sydney Opera House as Deputy Head of Production Management and play a key role in delivering world-class events. You'll provide senior production management expertise, support, and mentorship to a high-performing team, building strong partnerships with hirers and stakeholders. You'll help balance workloads, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure exceptional service with a focus on wellbeing and professional growth.
Responsibilities

- Build strong partnerships with hirers and stakeholders to bring a diverse range of events to life.
- Collaborate across the organisation to help balance workloads.
- Contribute to strategic planning.
- Ensure exceptional service with a focus on wellbeing and professional growth.
Requirements
- Extensive production management, or equivalent experience, in a technical production environment including experience in complex live theatre and events.
- Demonstrated skills in management of a team, including setting professional development milestones and strategies, negotiation & conflict management skills.
- Project management skills including demonstrated organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, and the ability to manage several events or projects simultaneously, meet strict deadlines and forward plan.
- Strategic problem solving and analytical skills including creative/lateral thinking and the ability to interpret non-technical requests into technical specification information.
- Advanced skills with computerised event management systems, including experience in quoting and setting event budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to draft advanced technical drawings in VectorWorks (or equivalent drawing program).
- Existing Australian work rights.
- Satisfactory National Police Check.
- Satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment.

- Base salary of $136,339 per annum plus 12% Superannuation Contributions
