About the Role
The Product Manager leads the end-to-end strategy and execution of the Industrial Connectors & Accessories portfolio, owning performance across the full product lifecycle. You will define the category vision, prioritise customer and commercial requirements, and collaborate across Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing and suppliers to drive profitable growth. You will balance strategic planning with hands on commercial execution to ensure Motion remains the channel of choice for both customers and key supply partners.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and profit targets for your category while growing market share.
- Develop structured business cases for new products and portfolio optimisation.
- Drive Own Brand expansion to improve penetration and margin contribution.
- Lead technical expertise within the product range, including new product introduction and removal of obsolete lines and SKU rationalisation.
- Build and manage strong supplier partnerships, including pricing, agency agreements, and performance alignment.
- Maintain competitive pricing, product master data, inventory performance (GMROI), and contribute to S&OP planning.
- Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for internal teams and customers, ensuring service Centre capability.
- Support category management activities including product ranging, supplier selection, documentation accuracy, warranty resolution, and home brand growth.
- Champion safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service while collaborating closely with sales, supply and training teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in Product, Category or Commercial Management
- Experience within Industrial Hose & Connectors or related industrial segments
- Strong financial literacy across margin analysis, pricing, rebates and working capital
- Advanced analytical capability and commercial acumen
- Proven supplier negotiation and commercial governance experience
- Collaborative leadership style suited to a matrix distribution environment
- High customer focus with strong influencing and communication skills
- Safety-focused team player with a positive, can-do attitude and required licenses/certifications to perform the role.
