About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Frollo, you will design, build, and deliver high-quality, scalable software supporting core lending and Open Banking products. You will translate product requirements into maintainable code, participate in design and code reviews, own features from implementation to production, and collaborate with product, QA, and operations for reliable delivery. This role is ideal for engineers who value clean design, testable code, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and document scalable new features, ensuring code is robust and well-tested.
Partner with product and mobile teams to scope features, design APIs, and refine the user experience.
Proactively troubleshoot bugs and maintain "bank-level" security standards through rigorous testing and automation.
Act as a technical bridge by onboarding client developers and providing expert support for API integrations.

Requirements

4+ years of experience developing backend systems.
Experience producing production-quality code.
Practical experience with relational databases and SQL.
Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and source control (Git).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
