About the Role
The Technical Support Administrator provides technical support and advice to users across multiple locations, platforms, and technologies, emphasizing exceptional customer service. This role coordinates the activities of Technical Support staff responsible for the operational maintenance of the organization's ICT environment. The Technical Support Administrator (Team Lead) is a key role focused on delivering Technical Field Support and ensuring smooth operations across NSWPF, acting as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues. Responsibilities include coordinating technical setup and support for major events and operations, and involvement in strategic technology initiatives like Azure Virtual Desktop rollout and modern management solutions. This role also involves leading and mentoring a team of 5-9 direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support and advice to users across multiple locations, platforms and technologies.
- Coordinates and guides the activities of Technical Support staff responsible for the operational maintenance of the organization's ICT environment.
- Acts as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and guidance.
- Coordinates technical setup and support for major events, operations, and other critical engagements.
- Involved in strategic technology initiatives, including the rollout of Azure Virtual Desktop and adoption of modern management solutions.
- Coordinates Tech Bars to enhance end-user support and streamline device refresh processes.
- Leads and mentors a team of 5–9 direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and technical excellence.
- Guides team through operational priorities while supporting their development and engagement.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
- Successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check.
- Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
