About the Role

San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS) has an opening for a Retail Store Associate. This role involves performing day-to-day store operations, providing excellent customer service, and promoting SAS footwear.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day store opening and closing procedures applying SAS philosophy, standards of service, cleanliness, and caring.
• Make weekly bank deposits.
• Provide a friendly welcoming environment by smiling, greeting, and acknowledging every customer.
• Assist customers with fitting the right SAS shoes.
• Showcase different categories of shoes, handbags, and shoe care products.
• Operate point of sale (POS) computer systems for sales, returns, charges, checks, and receiving transfers.
• Gain product knowledge on all SAS items and demonstrate enthusiasm for the product and company philosophy.
• Be ready to work at your scheduled time.
• Execute and complete special projects effectively.

Requirements

• Some computer ability with POS systems and MS Office.
• Great communication skills and exceptional customer service.
• Mature, responsible, and hardworking.
• Respectful and caring to co-workers.
• High level of integrity, respect, and empathy for all employees, visitors, vendors, and customers.
• Passion, integrity, and energy to achieve greatness for SAS and the team.

• Must obtain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., sometimes with help.
• Able to stand for long periods, frequently bend to tie and fit shoes, climb, and move.
• Required to have close visual acuity for computer use, visual inspection, and project analysis.
• Able to frequently communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Some travel is expected.
• Able to operate a vehicle.
