About the Role

Heritage Cooperative is seeking a future Crop Advantage Manager to lead its precision agriculture strategy and service delivery. This role is crucial for advancing the Crop Advantage program and driving growth through data-driven recommendations and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Heritage Cooperative’s precision agriculture strategy, service delivery, and execution across all agronomy locations.
  • Partner with Agronomy Sales and Operations leadership to align precision efforts with customer and operational needs.
  • Own the execution and advancement of the Crop Advantage program, ensuring it is positioned as a core value‑added platform for growth and retention.
  • Lead execution of Heritage Cooperative’s research Plot strategy.
  • Establish training and development protocols to ensure internal teams understand how to access, interpret, and use data to support field level decision-making.
  • Increase customer and acreage enrollment along with utilization of precision ag services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Precision Agriculture, or another related field or 5+ years of successful agronomy, precision agriculture, or management related experience.
  • Valid Driver License, with acceptable driving record.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of agronomic data systems, variable‑rate technologies, and precision ag tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate agronomic data into actionable, field‑level recommendations.
  • Experience supporting growers and agronomy sales teams in agronomic decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to educate, influence, and drive adoption.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, execute strategy, and drive accountability.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the retail agronomy industry.
  • Experience leading a precision agronomy or value‑added services program.
  • Experience managing or supporting equipment‑based precision systems.
  • Inspire trust with ability to create customer relationships and brand loyalty.
  • Frequently required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently required to lift heavy objects no more than 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to crawl, stoop, kneel, climb, or balance.
  • Evidence of work authorization upon employment is required in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
  • Completion of USCIS form I-9 will be required in order to verify employment eligibility within 3 business days of the first day of employment.
