About the Role
We're building the AI-powered operating system for tax, expanding into advisory, planning, and other professional service areas. You'll own product areas end-to-end, working directly with customers, defining product direction, and shipping features. This role requires an engineering background, with the ability to commit code and build alongside the team, focusing on goals and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own a product area end to end, driving strategy, roadmap, and execution from customer discovery through launch
- Write code and commit alongside engineers, contributing directly to the codebase
- Work directly with accounting firm customers to understand their workflows and needs
- Define and track goal-based metrics to prove release impact
- Build customer feedback into a quantitative system
- Own the competitive landscape by monitoring competitors and identifying opportunities
- Study comparable AI companies to identify applicable patterns and opportunities
- Manage integrations with third-party tools and platforms
- Partner with engineering and design to ship features weekly
- Collaborate with GTM teams to translate product capabilities into positioning, demos, and enablement
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience at a B2B SaaS company
- Engineering background with the ability to read and write code, review PRs, and contribute to the codebase
- Experience shipping products that real customers depend on in production
- Strong analytical skills, using data and customer feedback for decisions
- Excellent communication skills, capable of customer interviews, writing specs, and presenting to leadership
- Comfort with AI-powered products, understanding AI agents, LLMs, and prompt engineering
- Experience in tax, accounting, legal tech, or professional services is a strong plus
- Ability to deeply understand customer workflows and design products that replace existing tools
- Focus on outcomes, measuring success by actual changes in firm work processes
- Responsiveness to customer feedback and ability to build systems for prioritized, measurable product goals
- Ability to shift between coding, customer interaction, data analysis, and strategy presentation
