About the Role

Diagnose, rebuild, and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications. Knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals. Remove and reinstall transmission systems. Assist other technicians. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques. Keep management aware of repair problems. Maintain an organized service department.

Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
Maintains an organized service department

Requirements

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working as a Automotive Transmission Rebuilder
Hold a valid driver’s license
Own professional grade tools
Experience with mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience specific to transmission rebuilding
Ability to communicate solutions to others
Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
