About the Role
Pacific Aviation is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to support and mentor our team, ensuring the safety and efficiency of flight operations.
Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates flight operation and control activities of regional stations through Flight Dispatchers and subordinate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies and airports.
- Perform aircraft performance calculations.
- Ensure safe operations and compliance with Airline SOPs by providing full weather/operational briefings to flight crews and analyzing weather NOTAMs and ATC data.
- Oversee and manage Flight Operations and Weight & Balance departments.
- Liaise with Upper Management, Clients, Vendors, Airport and Government Authorities to ensure station activities comply with Federal, State, Company, and Airline regulations.
- Manage and develop personnel (Flight Dispatch and Weight & Balance) to maximize operational performance in areas of on-time performance, staffing, training, and safety.
- Prepare staff work schedules for optimum utilization of human resources and facilities.
- Prepare and submit reports pertaining to flight operations, payroll, and client billing.
- Operate within the budget.
- Responsible for the safety of the flights.
- Oversee preparation and filing of computerized Flight and ATC plans for International, Trans-Pacific/Atlantic Flights.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in Flight Operations.
- FAA Flight Dispatch License.
- Knowledge of SITA/ARINC/LIDO/JEPPESEN/SABER communication/flight planning software preferred.
- Training required in CFR 14 PART 121, 129, 135, CFR 14 PART 120, CFR 49 PART 40 per carrier assignment.
- Strong Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize functions, work efficiently, and manage time.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Available to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
