About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead critical capital model redevelopment initiatives within Global Risk Management at a major Canadian bank. This role sits within a centralized PMO delivery team, responsible for end-to-end project execution across risk programs globally. This is a high-visibility, high-pressure role tied to projects on leadership radar.
Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of capital modeling projects (similar lifecycle to IFRS9 model development)
- Manage end-to-end project execution across risk, technology, finance, audit, and data teams
- Oversee financials (budget, accruals, forecasting) with support from PCO
- Coordinate model development → implementation → productionization lifecycle
- Lead governance, reporting, and executive-level steering updates (SVP/EVP level)
- Ensure delivery under strict regulatory and executive deadlines
Requirements
- Experience with IFRS9 model programs
- Exposure to IRB (Internal Ratings-Based) frameworks or Basel regulations
- Understanding of data pipelines, cloud environments, and model implementation flows
- Familiarity with Python / SQL / data tooling (conceptual, not hands-on)
- Experience with Big 5 Canadian banks
