About the Role

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is recruiting Radiologists to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, NY. This role involves general and interventional radiology procedures, consultations, and quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and interventional radiology procedures including Diagnostic Radiology, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (Nuc Med), and Interventional Radiology (IR).
• Consult with and instruct referring physicians on appropriate indications for radiologic procedures to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate work-ups.
• Determine appropriate treatment courses and communicate with referring clinicians in person or by phone.
• Review consults/orders and next-day patient cases for a minimum of two hours daily.
• Provide post-procedure evaluation, follow-up, and clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures.
• Adhere to all established medication policies and procedures; no sample medications shall be provided to patients.
• Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings as required by the facility.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiology.
• Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• NPI report printout.
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS.
• Active DEA license.
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
• Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
