About the Role
In this role, you will lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for eBay’s Global Shipping organization, helping to compose a clear framework for assessing business trends and the financial impact of key initiatives. You will work closely with business partners and cross-functional teams, focusing on high-visibility analysis, strong financial stewardship, and practical decision support.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for the European Shipping programs.
- Own the Shipping program P&L architecture and provide insight into revenue and operating expense drivers.
- Build and refine analytical frameworks with business partners to evaluate growth levers and support strategic decision-making.
- Own the annual budget and ongoing forecasting processes in close collaboration with business partners.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate financial performance into clear, actionable insights.
- Drive cost analysis by identifying trends, drivers, and links between cost dynamics and key business metrics.
- Partner with Controllership to support GAAP compliance, financial controls, and a strong audit trail.
- Collaborate on ad hoc business projects and central initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MS or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, with strong FP&A and quantitative analysis experience.
- Prior experience in Supply Chain, Shipping, Logistics, or Reverse Logistics strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and working with large datasets.
- S4Hana and Anaplan experience is a plus.
- Intermediate SQL skills preferred, along with experience using database query tools and a basic understanding of data warehouse architecture.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and concisely.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, analytical rigor, attention to detail, initiative, integrity, and comfort working in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
