About the Role

The position is based in Berlin or Düsseldorf and is permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Advise sales teams, management, and departments on all relevant legal issues, with a focus on contract drafting with customers, suppliers, and partners (B2B).
  • Create, review, and negotiate complex purchase, service, and work contracts, including projects in construction, infrastructure, and public procurement.
  • Act as a productive link between legal advice, corporate guidelines, and operational business, developing sustainable, economically viable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with competition, antitrust, export/import, data protection, and other compliance regulations, and provide proactive advice.
  • Evaluate complex economic and technical issues, identify risks, and develop pragmatic recommendations in collaboration with Sales and Finance.
  • Represent Schneider Electric in all legal matters internally and externally as a member of the Global Legal Department, and independently conduct negotiations with external parties.
  • Accompany and coordinate court, arbitration, and litigation proceedings in close coordination with external law firms and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer (w/m/d) with completed 1st and 2nd state examinations.
  • Excellent knowledge of contract and sales law (B2B) and very good knowledge of procurement law, VOB/B, antitrust, and competition law.
  • Know-how in anti-corruption, product liability, and Health & Safety topics is a plus.
  • Several years of professional experience (min. 5 years) in relevant legal fields – ideally in an internationally active company or a comparable organization.
  • Good understanding of industrial business models, technical products, and their legal frameworks.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, combined with a confident demeanor and a high degree of solution orientation.
  • Very good understanding of economic contexts and a strong sense of entrepreneurial and ethical conduct.
  • Very good German language skills and fluent English.
  • Team-oriented, optimistic personality with drive, responsibility, and willingness to travel occasionally.
