About the Role
The Financial Data & Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, security, and governance of financial data across enterprise financial systems. This role combines hands-on system administration with data governance leadership, supporting planning, forecasting, and financial close processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administration and support of financial systems, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain system components such as metadata, hierarchies, dimensions, mapping tables, integrations, security roles, and access controls.
- Execute and monitor processes supporting financial close cycles, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage system updates, data loads, and validation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of data governance standards and controls, including data definitions, business rules, data ownership, segregation of duties (SoD), and access reviews.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data governance policies, system configuration, data flows, and control artifacts.
- Support internal and external audits for financial systems and data controls.
- Ensure data accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and audit controls.
- Monitor and resolve data quality issues, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Maintain alignment of financial data between source systems (ERP) and reporting platforms.
- Manage financial data flows across systems, including data extraction, transformation, loading, integration monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to maintaining documentation including data governance policies, system configuration, data flows, audit and compliance artifacts.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in financial systems administration (e.g., OneStream, Oracle, SAP, Workday).
- Experience with data governance, data management, or financial data analysis.
- Experience with data validation, reconciliation, controls, financial close, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, best practices, and financial data structures (chart of accounts, entities, cost centers, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to translate business requirements into system and data solutions.
- Strong collaboration across Finance, IT, and Data teams.
- Effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
