About the Role

The Senior Line Producer is a seasoned production leader who owns the production process from scope through final wrap. This role sits at the intersection of creative collaboration, operational excellence, and financial accountability. They are equally comfortable in a budget spreadsheet and on set; they know how to create the conditions for great work to happen. We’re looking for someone who thinks like a journalist: curious, resourceful, and driven by the story as much as the schedule. Reporting to the Executive Producer, the Senior Line Producer leads production operations across our slate of brand documentaries, social content, and multiplatform productions. They partner closely with our Senior Post Producer to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity throughout the project life cycle. Post-production experience is a strong plus, as there will be opportunities to step into producing roles across post and animation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day production across a range of film and content projects from kickoff through delivery.
  • Ensure creative excellence, operational rigor, and seamless collaboration across teams.
  • Partner with the Executive Producer to scope new opportunities, define production assumptions, and align stakeholders on deliverables.
  • Lead the bidding process, bringing a strategic lens to ensure pricing is both competitive and sustainable.
  • Build and manage project budgets from the ground up.
  • Track profitability, monitor actuals, and support the financial health of the business.
  • Make smart decisions that keep the company lean, nimble, and profitable.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with directors, cinematographers, editors, crew, and production partners.
  • Cultivate a trusted network of talent and vendors to ensure every project is staffed for success.
  • Serve as the lead producer on set.
  • Keep productions running smoothly, solve problems in real time, and create the conditions for the creative team to do their best work.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Post Producer to ensure seamless transitions from production through post.
  • Maintain clear communication around deliverables, assets, schedules, and timelines.
  • Support post-production and animation projects as needed.
  • Oversee production logistics including permits, insurance, releases, payroll, and travel.
  • Ensure productions remain compliant, organized, and set up for success.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of production experience at a creative studio, agency, or production company, including senior producing roles on live-action shoots.
  • Proven track record leading productions across a range of budgets and formats, including brand films, documentaries, and social content.
  • Experience scoping and bidding projects; able to build accurate estimates and clearly articulate production assumptions.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and project profitability.
  • A well-developed network of crew, vendors, and production partners across the US.
  • Working knowledge of post-production workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Calm, resourceful, and solutions-oriented under pressure.
  • Genuinely curious about the subjects we cover, the people we work with, and the craft of storytelling.
  • A journalist’s mindset: asks thoughtful questions, cuts through noise, and cares about getting it right.
  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment and brings positive energy to the team.
