About the Role
Longhorn Village is seeking a Skilled Nursing Certified Medication Aide with a strong positive attitude toward customer service and a genuine interest in geriatric care. This role involves administering medications, assisting residents with daily living activities, and promoting an independent lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Administers medications as prescribed by the physician.
- Documents medication administration, effectiveness, and any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and social activities.
- Promotes the independent lifestyle of residents.
- Responds promptly and courteously to resident calls.
- Provides daily reports to the Director of Nurses and/or Charge Nurse regarding facility conditions, resident conditions, and supply needs.
- Consistently demonstrates hospitality behavior and core values of quality, respect, service, and integrity.
- May be required to work shifts as C.N.A.
Requirements
- Must be able to read regulations and write clearly.
- Must be able to communicate in a courteous, friendly manner.
- Ability to effectively manage and direct subordinates.
