About the Role

Leads the day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives for University Housing and Dining (UHD). The Marketing Manager oversees routine marketing efforts, supervises the Marketing Specialist team, and ensures projects align with brand standards. The role also supports higher-level initiatives through coordination and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages routine, day-to-day marketing campaigns and initiatives that support UHD programs, services, and operations.
  • Works directly with UHD partners to understand goals and expectations for assigned projects and translates those needs into clear execution plans.
  • Ensures campaign messaging, timelines, and channel use align with established brand standards and departmental priorities.
  • Supervises and supports Marketing Specialists and student staff responsible for executing marketing projects.
  • Provides direction, support, and feedback to ensure effective execution and professional growth.
  • Manages workload distribution, clarifies expectations, and resolves day-to-day challenges.
  • Oversees the execution of marketing projects assigned to the Marketing team following intake.
  • Develops work plans, assigns tasks and deadlines, and monitors progress to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Coordinates daily workflow between marketing, creative, communications, and UHD partners, reviewing deliverables to ensure quality and brand compliance.
  • Supports strategic marketing campaigns and initiatives by assisting with planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Helps translate strategic direction into actionable components for the team and may manage defined portions of larger initiatives.
  • Conducts market research, audience analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improved engagement, awareness and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provides data-driven insights and recommendations that support marketing decisions, campaign optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned in support of UHD’s marketing operations and departmental goals.
  • May include participation in events, assisting with promotional activities, or supporting other UHD initiatives as needed.
  • Some evening or weekend work may be required during peak operational periods or major events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years experience in a supervisory/manager capacity.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

  • 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor
  • Letter of interest
  • Must complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form.
  • Must present acceptable and original documents to prove identity and authorization to work in the United States.
