About the Role

HHM Hotels is seeking a dynamic Managing Director to lead the pre-opening, launch, and ongoing operations of the Lady D Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. This premier property is being repositioned into an upscale lifestyle destination. You will manage all hotel operations to maximize profits while delivering a high-touch, personalized guest experience and building the team from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of the hotel opening, including staff recruitment, training, and the implementation of core values.
• Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by overseeing the implementation of service standards, personalized experiences, and swift resolution of any issues.
• Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, optimize expenses, and achieve budgetary goals through regular financial analysis.
• Maintain a seamless operation by overseeing all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance, while following sustainability guidelines.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, empowering team members to excel and advance within the organization.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role in a hotel.
• Proven experience in a hotel opening, specifically within a lifestyle property.
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to develop budgets and manage performance.
• Ability to set clear expectations and provide the guidance necessary to achieve exceptional performance.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Involves bending, reaching, stooping, using fingers and hands, kneeling, or crouching.
• Occasional travel required.
