About the Role
This leadership role oversees the daily operations of select MOVE Classes, ensuring both Participants and Associates have a meaningful experience consistent with the structures of the MOVE by GoodLife Kids Program. This role assists with identifying the program's needs, supporting class plan development, training and retention of Associates, and supporting our MOVE Family experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervises direct reports and the people requirements of the Team using provided tools and resources to ensure the successful execution of all key responsibilities and tasks, retention of great talent, and high Associate engagement.
- Leads training, learning, development, and performance management of all direct reports to ensure a positive and safe working experience.
- Organizes, collaborates and executes monthly team meetings for all Associates.
- Coordinates and conducts individual monthly meetings with all direct reports.
- Manages the completion and approval of daily and weekly time entries for all direct reports.
- Acts as a liaison for the GoodLife Kids Foundation and daily MOVE by Kids Program operations.
- Assists with recruitment and hiring direct reports.
- Delivers training and onboarding of new Associates through collaboration with the Program Manager to ensure completion in a timely manner.
- Supports and participates in the hiring process of new Associates.
- Delivers new Associate onboarding and ongoing training to direct reports.
- Identifies hiring needs or training gaps to ensure accurate resources and training are provided to Associates.
- Assists with program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in order to deliver an impactful national physical activity and fitness program.
- Consults and collaborates on the improvement of operational policies and procedures.
- Contributes to the design and generation of internal program documents.
- Coordinates logistical details and activities for events and/or programming.
- Monitors attendance and participation of MOVE classes.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience with staff.
- 1 Year experience delivering fitness or recreation activities.
- Ability to coordinate, mentor, supervise and build a positive rapport with Associates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience with Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Highly collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others to support establishing and achieving collective goals.
- Must Have Monday to Friday availability (11-2pm ET).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is considered an asset.

Salary/Compensations
- $43,600 - $55,200

- MOVE by GoodLife Kids is a FREE fitness and physical activity Program for youth ages 12 – 21 years with autism and intellectual disabilities.
- MOVE by GoodLife Kids classes run In Person and Virtually across Canada up to three times per week.
- MOVE Classes incorporate exercise circuits, opportunities to connect with other participants, dancing, and mindfulness activities.
- Classes are delivered by MOVE Coaches and MOVE Agents.
- Our MOVE Coaches are fitness professionals with training and experience in working with people with autism and intellectual disabilities.
- Our MOVE Support Agents support our Virtual MOVE Classes and are there to assist with technology and perform roles such as admittance from Zoom waiting room, muting/unmuting participants, and playing music and videos.
- Both MOVE Coaches and MOVE Support Agents report to a MOVE Associate Experience Supervisor.
