About the Role

Sterling is a leading print resource for the financial industry and broader business community, driven by a mission to provide the best product, fast and cost-effectively. We are seeking a hands-on, mature, and proactive Box Truck Driver/Packer for our brand-new facility in Hauppauge, NY.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick-up orders and returns
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Load and unload work and delivery vans and trucks
• Prepare all orders for shipment, fill and ship orders
• Operate a forklift, pack and shrink wrap boxes and skids
• Turn in receipts received from deliveries
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
• Report any mechanical problems, delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to Supervisor or Manager
• Other duties as directed by supervisor

Requirements

• Valid NY driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Ability to read maps and follow written or verbal geographical directions
• Must be a team player, dependable and reliable
• Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50lbs without assistance
• Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Must be available to work assigned shift and overtime if required
• Ability to follow orders with minimum supervision
• Ability to write and speak effectively in English
• Ability to follow safety standards
• Ability to be on-call for emergency situations
