About the Role
We are seeking a MarCom Director to manage day-to-day marketing and communications. This role involves turning strategy into a functional machine, managing vendors, and driving creative output to a high standard. The ideal candidate will ensure workstreams and partners operate harmoniously, manage major company initiatives from start to finish, and enhance the company's perceived size and establishment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operating rhythm, establishing and owning systems for tasks, owners, stakeholders, statuses, and deadlines across various channels.
- Orchestrate agencies and vendors, unifying PR, creative, web, social, and specialist contractors into a coordinated team.
- Own major announcements and company events end-to-end, including global coordination and sequencing.
- Conceive, plan, and execute events, hosted symposiums, and conference activations that elevate the company's profile.
- Maintain a high creative standard by reviewing and elevating copy, visuals, and campaign work.
- Translate the core narrative across all touchpoints, including web, social, media, events, and partner-facing surfaces.
- Ensure asset readiness by treating copy and visuals as deliverables with their own deadlines.
- Sustain an always-on presence across social channels, website, and content streams to maintain audience engagement.
Requirements
- Director-level experience in marketing and/or communications with a track record of end-to-end execution.
- A background combining sophisticated corporate marketing from a top-tier company with experience in deep-tech or frontier-science industries (AI preferred).
- Proficiency in both high-end marketing craft and hard science substance.
- Experience in brand building, including the development and activation of strong brand programs.
- Proven experience conceiving and executing high-caliber events and experiential activations.
- Demonstrated success managing and directing creative, PR, and specialist agencies to deliver premium output.
- Strong creative judgment, with the ability to brief, direct, and evaluate creative work.
- A portfolio or body of work that exceeds the category norm.
- Comfort operating as a credible peer alongside frontier-AI and biopharma partners and national press.
