About the Role
CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. The sensor component is installed on client machines to observe system activity, recognize malicious behavior, and provide prevention capabilities and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry, correlates malicious behavior across machines, and presents prioritized threat summaries. This role focuses on designing and developing core features for the macOS sensor, involving core OS subsystems and potentially shared components across platforms. The team operates under Agile principles and ships frequently.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sensor development teams on architecture and strategic initiatives.
- Conceptualize and develop new product features.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams in designing and implementing software for cross-platform delivery (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Own features throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial design to final delivery.
- Present product demonstrations at the conclusion of each sprint.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with teams situated in various locations.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Swift and C/C++.
- Extensive, fundamental understanding of macOS internals, with an emphasis on security frameworks.
- Proven experience in debugging memory corruption issues, process contentions, and system performance bottlenecks.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with teams to successfully deliver major features and releases.
- Ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and operate effectively within a geographically distributed team.
